Stamp designs
The designs of the stamps were taken from Plum and Cherry Blossoms with Small Birds and Chrysanthemums and Cranes painted on the front and back sides, respectively, of a pair of six-panel folding screens by the middle Edo period artist Kano Eishuku (1675-1724). The folding screens are in the collecting of the Itabashi Museum of Art.
